WALL-E the little robot comes out of his home for the day.

WALL-E

He then rolls forward and crushes the little cockroach. SQUISH.

WALL-E
SCREAMS

He bends down and looks at the roach.

WALL-E
 Awwww

PING the cockroach springs back to life. Wall-E then points for him to go inside and stay. He then rolls away to start his day. He goes over to the garbage and SCRAPES in up into his box of a body. Then makes a big CLUNK as it comes back out and hits the ground in a square form. Wall-E then makes another one and GIGGLES as he makes it. CLUNK as the next one falls to the ground. He finds a woman bra WHISTLES and puts it on his eyes.

WALL-E

Throws it into his cooler that he brought with him. He then throws a toy duck in it with a SQUICK. Also a bobble headed dog CLUNK. He then finds keys to a car and CLICKS then BEEP BEEP as the car goes off. He looks around all confused and then finds a paddleball CLINK CLINK CLINK..... WALL-E
 AHHHH UUGHH

Then he throws it far away CLING. He continues the stack the squares in a bigger square until the day turns to night.
FADE OUT

When talking about the listening modes I hear a lot of casual sounds in this clip. Like when Wall-moves he makes the regular sound of tires moving on a rough ground. Just to fill in the space sound he isn’t soundless when ever he rolls around to go places. Also when things hit the ground or are thrown around they have the regular sound of hitting the ground like clunk. Then another type of sound that is used in the clip in semantic sound because when the cockroach kind of squeaks represents him as talking to Wall-e because we know the roaches doesn’t squeak. Then with the space in the clip you see some distance sound when Wall-E throws the extinguisher and it makes a sound when it hits the ground it has a sound of being far away. Also when Wall-e wheels himself off-screen you can hear it fade as he goes away in one direction making so he is far away now. When the squares that Wall-E makes hit the ground they don’t make a lot of sound so we can hear the size of the object. It is small because it doesn’t make such a big sound.

Brainwashed

Brainwashed is an article by Seth Godin that is about seven ways to reinvent yourself.

Acknowledge the lizard is the part of you that is scared or has a fear of being laughed at. So then since we are scared we don’t create or do what we want to because we fear people will laugh at us. We must not let being scared keep us from creating art or doing other things in life. When talking about Connect in the reading it means to use the Internet towards your advantage. To not count how many followers you have or how many friends you have on Facebook. But to connect with other people because it’s a good way to get you creativity out there. Another way to reinvent yourself is to fail. We are all scared to do this but it can be a good thing. We need to make riskier moves and create different things. They have a chance of failing but they also could succeed and that would be great. But we first need to get over the failing part.

These three layers connect to this blog and me artistically in many ways more that one. When talking about the layer Acknowledge the Lizard relates to me the most because of do have that fear of being laughed at. Then when talking about the blog people may not want to post things on their blog because they are scared that people will laugh at them for it. I also think that same way. But we do need to learn that it really doesn’t matter what other people think just what we think. We shouldn’t be afraid to show our work and our creativity because it could be really great when other people see it. It not just about pleasing other people or your friends. I think it’s about making yourself happy about what you put out there or on the blog that you think people will like. Then when talking about the layer Connect is one of the one that really relate to blogging. It’s already on the Internet and basically everyone can see what you put on the Internet forever so that could be kind of intimidating. We can’t look at how many people have viewed our blog or anything else to do with that. Just go freely and make connections with other. Connect with the world of the Internet and post things no matter what. Then there is the layer Fail. Once again we are all scared to fail. Like in this blog we don’t want to say something wrong and then end up doing bad. Then this layer relates to me a lot creatively because failing is not fun. But it’s a part of life and we all fail at times. So I shouldn’t be scared to be creative and not to be scared how the world views me. I can make art or music or anything and let others see or hear it and if I fail or they don’t like it, that doesn’t matter because I can always try again the next day. I think that this layer it just teaching you not to give up no matter what. That everything can’t be perfect all the time and to let lose. All these layers can connect to one other and think its good for other people to take a look at this reading because it could change how you look at yourself and how you feel about your creativity.

Finding Your Howl

The link below is the link to Johathon Flaum’s FIND YOUR HOWL.
http://changethis.com/manifesto/show/51.01.YourHowl

The firsts story in the reading is about the red wolf named Mumon. Him and his pack we in captivity and then released into the wild. But they didn’t know how to howl. They all gave up except for Mumon. He went out and found his howl and they all saw him as a leader. I think that this story tells us that nothing comes easy. That you have to go out into the world to get what you want. To work hard and keep going no matter what. There might be some tough road blocks a long the way or you may not understand how things turn out. But in the end if you keep going and try your hardest you will find what you want and pursue your dreams. That what I think the story of the wolfs is trying to tell us.

One of the stories that is one of my favorites in Peter Pan. I know its a kids story and from Disney but i still really like it. Here is a link to the short story of it if you have never heard the story before. http://www.childrenstory.info/childrenstories/peterpan.html

Whenever I see or read this story I always love it. Sure it’s a kids story so they are entertained and don’t just sit around all day doing nothing. But I have a connection with this story. It tells the tale of a young boy and his friends that live in Neverland. The young buy Peter goes to find Wendy and her two younger brothers. He asks them to come on an adventure and he takes them to Neverland. They go on adventures and run into the evil Captain Hook. But in the end everything goes back to the way it was but they all learned a lesson and have many memories. This story opens your imagination and helps you to look beyond the limits of reality. It’s a basic tail of life and adventure.
Because of all the fairytale and make believe in the story it takes you imagination on a journey.  When encountering fairies and their fairy dust that makes you fly to this whole other world called Neverland. Fulfilling children’s wish that there is a world out there for them. All the adventures in the story are like what little kids make up in their back yards while they are playing. That’s probably one reason why I relate to this story so much because I was one of those little kids going on adventure in their backyards.
Then there is the whole concept of not wanting to grow up like Peter Pan doesn’t want to. When you are little it seems like you can’t wait to grow up and be on your own. But when you start getting more responsibilities and learn how to live on you own you want to be a little kid again. That’s somewhat how I felt when first entering college. I felt all-alone and missing home. But I soon got over that fear and learn that everyone needs to grow up sometime because you can’t stay little for ever. That’s what I think Peter Pan’s story teaches us. There are always pros and cons to a decision. Like if you could stay young forever you would have no responsibilities but if you don’t grow up you will never live your life. People go through the dilemma or a stage of not wanting to grow up mostly in their teens. But we soon get over it because life does go on and we all have to face the fact that growing up is a part of life.
All in this entire story teaches you a lesson even if you don’t know the lesson at first. But while going through adventure and excitement of unimaginable things. Even though Peter Pan ends up staying in Neverland I think he still learned a pig lesson on the way that changes him for the better. This story will always be one of my favorites because at heart I am still a kid inside. I know when to act right and be proper but I will always have my imagination and creativity that is still somewhat childish.
